Hand-selected and naturally-shed red-eared slider turtle shell, molded and cast into solid brass using the lost-wax casting technique and then plated with 14k gold, this pendant necklace is available on a 24", 30", or 36" gold-fill chain with a hook and eye clasp closure.
Turtle shell pendant measures 2.25" wide x 2.5" long.

WHAT HAPPENS AFTER I SUBMIT MY ORDER VIA MARYFRANCESFLOWERS.COM?
Once you submit your order, your credit card will be charged. Even though the funds are held and deducted from your credit limit, the funds are not automatically transferred to Mary Frances Flowers, LCC (the merchant). The transfer may take up to three days. Once the funds are transferred into the MFF merchant account, MFF will ship your order, and you'll receive a notification that the order has shipped.

HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE TO RECEIVE MY ORDER?
Most in stock items will ship within 72 hours of order placement. If an item is unable to be shipped within that timeframe, you will be notified immediately. Custom orders, semi-custom orders, and rings are all made to order and may take between three to five weeks from order date to arrive at your door. If you need something by a specific date or would like to expedite shipping, please add your request to the comments section at checkout or email firstname.lastname@example.org with your request and order number. We will always do our best to accommodate your requests, and we appreciate your understanding and patience.
HOW DO I KNOW WHEN MY ORDER HAS SHIPPED?
Once your order has shipped, you will receive a confirmation email from us with your tracking details. Be sure to check your spam folder in case the email was redirected there.
DO YOU CHARGE SALES TAX?
All orders that have a North Carolina shipping address will be charged the applicable sales taxes for both the state of North Carolina and your specific city's sales tax - usually somewhere between 6.5-7.5% total.
CAN I GET MY ORDER GIFT WRAPPED?
Absolutely! We love to make your piece extra special with our signature blue patterned gift wrap. Leave a gift message in your checkout notes, and we'll be sure to include a handwritten note.
WHAT KIND OF PACKAGING WILL MY JEWELRY COME IN?
Each order is packaged in a signature Mary Frances Flowers gift box, great for travel and storage. If your item is morse code or cast directly from nature, there will also be an information card within your box denoting what the item means.
HOW DO I FIGURE OUT MY RING SIZE?
The best way to figure out your ring size is to visit your local jewelry store and ask for a professional ring sizing. If this is not feasible, use a manual ring-sizing guide by measuring the length around your finger. Keep in mind, this method is only a guide; therefore, we cannot be responsible for incorrect ring sizing. As a general guideline, we suggest sizing up one full size from your regular ring size if you are ordering any rings wider than 6mm.
CAN I RESIZE A RING THAT I ORDERED?
Yes. Depending on the style and metal, the fee can vary. Please email us at email@example.com to discuss. The customer is responsible for shipping in both directions.
CAN I ORDER A RING IN HALF SIZES / NECKLACE WITH LONGER CHAIN / WITH A DIFFERENT STONE / IN WHITE GOLD?
As much of our jewelry is made to order, we have a fair amount of flexibility when it comes to ring sizes, chain lengths, stone choices, and metal colors - so yes, this is possible in some cases. However, some styles may prohibit further customization than what is currently offered on the website. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss further customization options. Additional fees may apply and all sales are final for custom pieces. No coupons or discount codes are accepted on custom orders.
CAN I REPLACE A LOST EARRING?
Yes! Some earring styles are available as singles on the website. For earring styles not offering singles on the website, please get in touch with us by emailing email@example.com. Half pairs of earrings are half the full retail price of a full pair of earrings plus shipping and applicable taxes. Coupon codes and discounts are not applicable and will not be accepted on made to order single earring orders.
DO YOU CREATE CUSTOM PIECES?

WHERE IS YOUR JEWELRY PRODUCED?
All of our jewelry is first created out of wax or organic material in our North Carolina studio. It is then sent to a family-run casting house in New York City for final production. We have worked with this casting house for years, know the employees personally, and can attest to their quality and ethics.
WHAT TYPE OF METAL IS USED IN MFF JEWELRY?
Our jewelry uses solid brass, solid sterling silver, solid 14k gold, or solid brass with a 14k gold micron plating (for larger pendant necklaces only). Other metals may be available upon request and availability. The metal options available for a specific style are listed in the product description of that piece. WHAT IS THE BIG DIFFERENCE BETWEEN BRASS, GOLD-PLATE, AND SOLID 14K GOLD?
Brass is a base metal and, in comparison to its similarly-hued counterpart gold, fairly inexpensive. Most costume jewelry is made of brass and then plated with gold or silver. Brass begins as a shiny gold color, and then, over time, grows darker as it patinas.
Our "gold-plate" is a 14k gold plated at least 1 micron thick. Due to the delicate nature of "gold-plate," the gold color produced is temporary. Inevitably, the gold plate will eventually wear off, revealing the brass base metal. To lengthen your gold-plated jewelry's lifespan, take special care when wearing your piece. Don't allow it to come into contact with lotions, creams, perfumes, makeup, and don't wear it while swimming or exercising. Because gold-plate does not have the longevity of solid gold, we only offer this metal option on our large pendant necklaces such as the Turtle, Oyster, and Crab Necklaces. Gold-plate adheres best to larger surfaces so will hold better to these types of styles. Since solid gold is of the highest quality, we offer it in most of our jewelry styles.
Solid 14k gold is just that - solid gold, a precious metal and of one of the highest values. The 14k refers to the alloys in the gold that give it strength and color. We choose to offer a 14k gold because of the attractive pale yellow hue it gives off. Solid gold pieces will stay a beautiful gold color for years and years. Wear your gold pieces all day, everyday, but do remember that jewelry, by its very nature, is delicate. Heed caution when wearing any jewelry while swimming and exercising.
WHERE DO THE STONES COME FROM?
All gemstones we use are natural. We source our stones from trusted suppliers in the US and Canada.
WHY DO THE STONES ON MY PIECE LOOK DIFFERENT THAN THOSE ON THE WEBSITE?
Our natural gemstones can vary in size and color. Some stones may have inclusions, appear more opaque/translucent on screen, or have ribbons through the stone itself. This is not within our control, and we believe these "imperfections" add to the beauty of the pieces.
HOW DO I CARE FOR MY JEWELRY?
Each piece of jewelry is handcrafted and, therefore, delicate. Please exercise great care to enjoy your piece for years and years.
All MFF plated pieces are done so with at least one micron of plating. To keep your plated jewelry shiny and bright, avoid perfumes, chlorine, and chemicals around your jewelry. Put on jewelry after applying makeup, and always store in a cool, dry place. Special care should be used when cleaning. Traditional polishing cloths can be abrasive and damage the plating. We recommend cleaning your plated jewelry with warm water and mild soap. If this doesn't bring back the shine, your item may need to be re-plated. Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss. We're happy to offer re-plating for all MFF items for a small fee.
Our sterling silver items are solid silver and can be cleaned using a silver polish or jewelry polishing cloth.
For the absolute best way to clean your jewelry, we suggest leaving the job to a professional.
ARE THE PICTURES ONLINE TO SCALE?
No. Jewelry photography is a balancing act between accurately representing the piece and showing the fine details. This is why we always list the dimensions in the product description and do our best to provide secondary photos of the piece being worn. CAN I RETURN A GIFT?
A piece received as a gift may be returned for credit towards another MFF purchase on maryfrancesflowers.com so long as the gifted item has remained unworn and undamaged. Custom and semi-custom items cannot be returned or exchanged. The customer returning the piece is responsible for all shipping charges.
Mary Frances Flowers will not sell, share, or trade any information you supply to us with a third party. Any information MFF collects is used to provide you with a better shopping experience and to notify you via email or mail of promotions and upcoming sales. If you would prefer not to received these emails, you may opt out at any time by changing your email notifications status.

WHAT IS YOUR REPAIR POLICY?
At Mary Frances Flowers quality and craftsmanship is of our utmost concern. However, our jewelry is, by its very nature, delicate and should be handled with great care. If you experience the need for repair or replating on any Mary Frances Flowers pieces, please email firstname.lastname@example.org to determine whether repairs can be accommodated, receive an estimated cost, and to be issued a Repair Authorization Number.
We would be happy to repair your jewelry free of charge if purchased within six months via maryfrancesflowers.com, a Mary Frances Flowers Trunk Show, or in person directly from Mary Frances Flowers. Items purchase after the six month period or from a third party will be subject to any necessary repair fees.
Photos of items in need of repair can help give a more accurate repair estimate. Quotes for repairs of valid for 30 days from the date given. Mary Frances Flowers reserves the rights to change any repair quotes for items not received within those 30 days.
The customer is responsible for shipping charges both ways regardless of purchase date.
All in-stock orders placed on maryfrancesflowers.com are shipped via your choice of USPS First Class Mail (only available for orders containing 1-2 items), USPS Priority Mail, or FedEx 2-Day. All Semi-Custom Morse Code Items, Rings, or 14k Gold Pieces are made to order and will take up to 3 weeks to arrive at your door. All shipments are fully insured with tracking available. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs. Orders ship out of our Raleigh, North Carolina, studio within one to three days of order placement (if it is a stock item) and can take anywhere from two to four days to arrive at your door. Please reference the table below in deciding which shipping option is right for you. Mary Frances Flowers is not responsible for shipping delays once a package has left our care.

We strive to keep the website fully stocked and up to date. If an item is in stock, it will ship within 72 hours of order placement. If an in-stock item will not ship within that timeframe, we will let you know as soon as possible about any potential delays. All rings and custom items take several weeks to create, process, and ship. You will receive an email notification when your order has shipped regardless if it is a stock or made-to-order item.
Mary Frances Flowers charges Sales Tax for any orders shipped to an address in North Carolina. Orders shipped within North Carolina will be charged the statewide sales tax rate of 7%. Mary Frances Flowers does not charge a sales tax for orders shipped outside of North Carolina.
Mary Frances Flowers accepts the following credit cards: Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express. Mary Frances Flowers also accepts payments via Paypal and Apple Pay.
Your credit card and/or Paypal or Apple Pay account will be charged at the time you place your order. You will be asked to provide your credit card number, expiration date, security code, and billing address.
SEMI-CUSTOM & CUSTOM ORDERS
Custom orders, including all morse code pieces and men's custom cufflinks, may take up to four weeks for delivery from the time of order confirmation. An order is considered confirmed once we have communicated with the customer that your requested item is able to be produced and is in production. Custom orders cannot be cancelled once production has begun. Custom orders placed on maryfrancesflowers.com may not be refunded, returned, or exchanged.
RETURNS & EXCHANGES
Items purchased at full price on maryfrancesflowers.com may be returned for exchange or store credit only within 14 days from your order's arrival at your door. Exchanges are only accepted for unworn, unaltered items in the original packaging (MFF box and/or pouch) with no damage to the item or its packaging. There will be a $10 restocking fee for any items received without the original packaging or in damaged packaging.
Please email email@example.com to receive a Return Authorization Number prior to shipping your item back for exchange. Please provide your name, address, order number, and reason for exchange. Exchanges will only be accepted with a Return Authorization Number clearly labeled on the exterior of the package. Approved returns will be issued store credit for the item's purchase price that can then be used for repurchase on maryfrancesflowers.com. We do not refund or give credit for shipping charges. We cannot accept returns or exchanges for items purchased anywhere other than maryfrancesflowers.com.
Return shipping and insurance charges are the responsibility of the customer.
Please allow up to five business days for your exchange to be processed once the item has been received. You will receive an email when the exchange is processed.
HOLIDAY EXCHANGES: Purchases of full-priced merchandise made during November or December may be exchanged if a Return Authorization Number is received by January 3, 2020. Return requests after January 3, 2020, will not be accepted.
